Sale Negotiation (2011)

315,000 Sq. Ft. Office Building Renovation and Conversion to Essential Service Facility

Completed 2014

Sares Regis identified, negotiated, and completed the sale of 1600 Los Gamos Drive, at the Marin Commons office complex owned by CIGNA Real Estate, to the County of Marin for its new EOF. The sale included 24 acres of the 35-acre site. Sares Regis managed the $50-million conversion of the Class A building to Essential Service Criteria and oversaw leasing the unoccupied space. The renovation involved structural upgrades to meet seismic requirements, installing advanced radio equipment, a data center and server technologies, and interior redesign. At completion, three major tenants continued to occupy approximately 55,000 sq. ft. of the building; the County uses approximately 100,000  sq. ft. for its EOF and relocated other County offices to an additional 80,000 sq. ft. within the building. Another 80,000 sq. ft. is for other tenants.
