The Kelsey at Ayer Station

San Jose, California

115-unit affordable housing community

Includes homes for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities

The Kelsey at Ayer Station (TKAS) is a partnership between Sares Regis, Devine and Gong Inc, and The Kelsey, a non-profit organization committed to pioneering disability-forward housing that creates opportunities for everyone. TKAS will offer 115 units of restricted affordable housing those earning between 20% and 80% of Area Median Income, with 25% of the units set aside for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. All apartments exceed code-required accessibility design, and the property offers robust services to support residents with additional needs.

Sares Regis harnessed California’s SB 35 legislation to streamline the project’s land use approvals, enabling this critical housing to be delivered more quickly. Construction commenced in 2022.
